Magnolia’s Biblical Garden allows visitors to see living examples of plants mentioned in the Bible, providing a real life extension of Biblical teachings. The Garden is dedicated to former caretakers of Magnolia especially involved in the church. Using the Bible as a reference point, one can explore the plants and flowers of the Old Testament area surrounding the Star of David.
Within its twelve sections are varieties of plants and flowers that commemorate the twelve tribes of Israel. In the New Testament section of the garden, one can explore the plants and flowers which surround the cross as well as those which are located in the beds of the cross representing the 12 disciples. This Garden highlights interesting questions of Biblical interpretation, since not all the plants mentioned in the Bible could have grown in the Holy Land, the actual species chosen represent the best horticultural approximation.
