Garden of Romance
MAGNOLIA PLANTATION & GARDENS
GARDEN OF ROMANCE POETRY CONTEST

The Magnolia Gardens of Charleston
Roslyn Felver, Seabrook, S.C.

In the Gardens, there is a stream.
There are flowers, as many as in a child's dream.
In the stream lay lillies;
Daffodils among the trees.
The sweet smell of azaleas,
The beautiful sight of camellias.

As for the trees; Simply wondrous!
Trees are a part of Gods's Masterpiece,
For instance the Cypress.
The Magnolia tree, you must see.
The Oak, with its branches spread out,
Amazes some folk, and its trunk large and stout.
My favorite the willow, there's something about it;
Its branches bend down as if taking a bow.

A perfect picture of nature;
Beautiful and full of wonder.
Hardly words to describe the beauty I see!
But I do know exactly the words-
God's Great Masterpiece!
This is the beauty I see,
In the Magnolia Gardens of Charleston.
