Shelia Preston-Ford

Sheila Preston-Ford is the president of The Summerville Artist Guild and a juried artist at SC Artisans Center in Walterboro. She is a watercolor artist mainly, but enjoys many mediums, being drawn to value, contrast and life. She taught elementary art for several years and found sparking the creativity in others rewarding. Her favorite part of teaching was encouraging students to enjoy the process and try new things while not being afraid to make mistakes.

She left teaching in the mountains of Northern California and moved to the rural community of Dorchester, SC where she is constantly inspired by the surrounding natural beauty. Sheila loves daydreaming, exploring, and painting. She shares her love of art and curiosity through her paintings and adventures on her.
