Through engaging storytelling, artisan demonstrations, hearth and open fire cooking, and dynamic presentations, visitors will have the opportunity to connect with living historians and learn more about the lives of the enslaved community beyond the fields. Cabin Pavilion
We will come together as a community to collectively honor and remember the lives of those who were formerly enslaved at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens. In a solemn and respectful gathering, we will experience the powerful reading of their names, ensuring that their stories are acknowledged, their memories are preserved, and their legacies are celebrated. This moment of unity and reflection includes a special presentation about the history, importance and legacy of African American spirituals and a special acapella performance titled “Two Americas” by Benjamin Seabrook.
Tickets are not required for this event.
