About Isa

I found the art of pilates while living in New York City for work, and right away I fell in love with it. I have been weightlifting for as long as I can remember, always wanting more and more and more. When I tried pilates for the first time, I remember using parts of my body that felt like they had been dormant, like a hibernating bear waiting to awaken. I still adore weightlifting, but to me, pilates is the most beautiful blend of body & mind – strengthening every part of you from your very soul down to the smallest parts of your bones.

After years of taking classes, I knew I wanted to make pilates a part of my life permanently. I trained to teach each method of pilates, and am slowly making a brand for myself in Charleston, called isapilates. Whether you have not yet tried pilates, or if you already adore it as much as I do, schedule a class or two – I cannot wait to meet you!

I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and have been on-and-off in Charleston since 2012. I live in West Ashley in a charming, old brick house with my boyfriend, three dogs and three cats.
