We Care

Steeped in over 300 years of family history and heritage in the Lowcountry, Magnolia and the Drayton family take pride and responsibility in our community. Our community stewardship is evident through the numerous humanitarian, academic and environmental causes we support. We encourage you to learn more about the local initiatives we support which help preserve the culture and legacy of the Lowcountry.





Campaigns encourage support to local non-profit organizations through partnership and complimentary admission to Magnolia Plantation & Gardens.

American Red Cross "Give a Pint, Save a Life" – partnered with the American Red Cross to provide coupons for free one-day admission to Magnolia in exchange for the donation of a pint of blood at one of the Tri-County Donation Centers or blood drives in the months of June and October in 2016.

Holiday Food Drive for Lowcountry Food Bank – Magnolia holds an annual food drive during the holidays in which visitors who donate a non-perishable food item receive buy one get one free garden admission to the gardens. Since 2012, Magnolia has donated more than 15 tons of food to the Lowcountry Food Bank. The Lowcountry Food Bank serves 10 coastal counties of South Carolina and aims to distribute more than 24 million pounds of food each year. For more information:

Dog Adoption Campaign – provided coupons for free annual memberships to Magnolia for anyone who adopted a dog from 15 dog shelters/rescues in the Lowcountry during the month of August. Benefitting organizations:
