Take a Tour at Magnolia

The Nature Train drives along a road surrounded by huge live oak trees.

If you’re drawn to rich history, breathtaking landscapes, or unforgettable wildlife encounters, Magnolia offers a tour for you! From exploring centuries-old architecture and powerful stories of the past to riding through scenic wetlands and cruising along the river in search of native wildlife, each experience provides a unique way to connect with the beauty and legacy of this remarkable property.

There’s no better time to explore Magnolia’s many tour experiences, especially the newly refreshed Wildlife Boat Tour along the Ashley River. Over the winter, the Facilities Team completed exciting upgrades, including a brand-new deck, a fresh canvas top for added comfort and durability, and newly repainted pontoons, giving the boat a clean new look as it returned to the water this month. From this scenic cruise, guests can spot alligators, herons, egrets, anhingas, coots, ospreys, hawks, and even resident bald eagles. Beyond the water, visitors can step back in time with the Magnolia House Tour, ride through wetlands and forests on the Nature Train Tour, or gain deeper historical insight on the powerful “From Slavery to Freedom” Tour. Whether you’re drawn to wildlife, horticulture, or history, Magnolia offers a meaningful and memorable way to experience the property from every perspective.
