Join Jeff on an up close and personal tour of the Francis Marion's botanical bounty, both flora and otherwise. We will explore several habitats, but primarily we will look at the incredible diversity that the pine woods offer. We will also tie in some of the rich history of the area and focus in on some of the amazing plants that make this forest so special.
About Jeff
Jeff Jackson grew up in upper Berkeley County, his front yard being Lake Moultrie and his back The Forest. Since recieving a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from Clemson in 1981 he has worked as a professional landscape designer. His interest in native plants led to 30 plus years as an enviromental consultant. His other love is custom hardscaping. These days you can find him either creating garden items or leading plant walks as The Hell Hole Naturalist.
