Behind the Scenes: A New Adventure with Magnolia’s Peacocks!
If you’ve ever visited Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, you’ve likely been welcomed by some of our most unforgettable residents: the vibrant, charismatic peacocks that freely roam our grounds. With their dazzling feathers and unmistakable calls, they’ve become an iconic part of the Magnolia experience.
Now, we’re thrilled to share a brand-new adventure unfolding behind the scenes at our Wildlife Center!
For the first time, our Wildlife Center team is taking on the special task of incubating peafowl eggs. Currently, six precious eggs are safely nestled inside our specialized incubator, where they’re receiving around-the-clock attention and the perfect climate conditions needed to thrive.
Monitoring the Peafowl Progress
Because each egg was laid at a different time, they are all progressing on their own unique developmental timelines. Our team is closely monitoring each one, watching and waiting as nature works its magic.
While it’s still early in the process, we have some encouraging news to share: two of the eggs are already showing promising signs of viability! This is a wonderful step forward and gives us hope that we may soon welcome new, fluffy additions to our peafowl family.
